I lovely spend 1 night in Itsukushima. Exceptionally attentive staff, answered all questions. The hotel was in a stunning location, to get the bus to the ferry. The breakfast food was fabulous! I enjoyed staying here.
I didn't find elevator, so was a little disappointed.

Unbeatable and magnificent location really close to the ferry to the island, and the island of Miyajima, an oceanarium and restaurants were short walk from the hotel.

Title: Recommended for Families: Amazing Family Stay on Miyajima
My children wanted longer opening hours for the bathrooms.

The food at the hotel was absolutely fantastic - it exceeded all our expectations. We had both the Japanese dinner and the Western breakfast, and they were both delicious. The hot tubs in the shared bathroom were amazing and definitely worth the wait. The beds on the floor were surprisingly comfortable, even though they were a little hard for our liking. The hotel's location was also convenient, being centrally located and not too far from the main tourist spots.
One major downside was the long walk from the ferry to the hotel. It took us about 15 minutes, which felt like forever especially with all our luggage.

The room was cozy and comfortable, perfect for a Christmas getaway. The hotel's location was ideal, just a short walk away from major attractions and the ferry terminal. One of the best aspects was the warm and welcoming staff who went out of their way to make us feel at home.
Our experience was marred by a lack of clarity regarding payment options. We were initially told that only cash was accepted and had to go through the hassle of finding a bank to withdraw money.

I recently had a wonderful Christmas experience at a traditional ryokan on the beautiful island of Miyajima. They even provided me with useful information about nearby restaurants and their closing times, ensuring that I had options for dining.
Although my stay was fantastic, there were a couple of minor downsides. the copious amount of food served for dinner and breakfast was a bit overwhelming, and I struggled to finish everything.

The quiet location, just a short walk from the shrine and the breathtaking O-Torii, was perfect for exploring the island. The meals were exceptional, with a wonderful mix of oriental flavors even in the Western-style breakfast. The service was truly top-notch, with a genuine warmth that made us feel right at home. Our children loved the traditional Japanese bath experience, and the clean and spacious rooms made our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
For dads, it would be great to have more shading in the rooms for those early morning light, as my wife pointed out.

We had an incredible stay at a ryokan on a beautiful island. the staff at Mizuhasou were friendly and attentive, making us feel well looked after throughout our stay. the dinner option was a highlight, with one of the loveliest meals we've ever had. the breakfast was also amazing, and the little touches in the room made it extra special. the bathroom, although not in the bedroom, was spotless and beautifully appointed, and one of the nicest bathrooms we've used during our Japan trip. the location on the peaceful island was perfect for avoiding the crowds, and we regretted not staying longer.
No negatives from this place 😊.
